Eric Showalter is a Financial Advisor and Founder of Arbor Private Wealth. As a Certified Financial Planner, he has an extensive background in comprehensive wealth management with particular depth in professional portfolio management and financial planning. He is focused on delivering sound financial solutions and maintaining strong personal relationships with his clients. Eric specializes in managing high-net-worth relationships grounded in comprehensive financial planning, asset management, trust and estate planning, charitable giving and other wealth and income strategies. He works with clients across the United States and beyond.
Eric has over 25 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies, including 15 years with global financial services firms as a Financial Advisor. In addition, he managed a branch of a national broker-dealer in Leesburg, Virginia for 8 years. Eric earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
In his spare time, Eric enjoys traveling with his wife Amy, and watching his two daughters compete in club-level Volleyball and perform with the Briar Woods Falcon Regiment Marching Band.
Scott Coleman

Scott is a Managing Director of Business Development at Schwab Advisor Services™ and leads a team who sells institutional trading and custody services. His team focuses on helping advisors realize the benefits of being an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). Since Scott started with Schwab in 2005, he has worked to understand each advisor’s unique needs and goals to ensure they are supported in whatever path towards independence they choose. Scott’s current team covers the eastern half of the United States and is composed of Business Development Officers, Business Development Support Specialists, and Regional Support Specialists who provide operational support and service for the onboarding of new advisors.
In an investment industry career that spans over 29 years, Scott has also held roles as a Vice President and Firm Principal at an Atlantic regional brokerage firm, having developed a managed account platform for that firm in addition to seven years with Smith Barney in various financial services roles, notably as Manager of the National Sales Desk of Smith Barney Asset Management.
Scott is a Cum Laude graduate of Towson University, with a B.A. degree in International Studies. He holds FINRA Series 7, 8, 24 and 63 licenses. He resides in Montgomery County, MD with his wife and triplets (two boys and one girl), who are rising high school seniors.
Scott is very active supporting his community through education, athletics, and service. He is a member of his school district’s PTA/PTSA and a regular participant at school events, coached Babe Ruth League baseball and football in Montgomery County, MD and is an Eagle Scout merit badge counselor for Boy Scout Troop 1325 in the National Capital Area Scouting Council (where his two sons have recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout). He is an avid golfer, and enjoys sports, military aviation, music and exploring nature whenever possible.

He believes the gold standard of wealth management is found at the intersection of empathy and technology™, and helps the firm evolve to that level, to meet the needs of today’s clients and those of the next generation. Previously, Steve worked at UBS Financial Services for 26 years, most recently as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. In 1997, Steve merged his wealth management practice with his father’s. This first-hand experience in a family business gives Steve empathy for the families he consults with as they face financial and emotional challenges. Prior to UBS, Steve worked as a securities lending representative at State Street Bank and started his career as a research assistant at Morgan Stanley Asset Management in London. Steve lives in Yarmouth, Maine, with his wife, Christine. Their photographer son Nick lives in Bozeman, Montana, where he graduated from Montana State University. Their daughter, Leah, is studying interior design at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.
