Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:

The technologies we use

We use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to improve and customize our website and newsletters for your best experience; to allow you to access and use the website without re-entering your username or password; to understand usage of our website and eNewsletters and the interests of our customers; to determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon; and to present you with advertising relevant to your interests. Some of the technology vendors we use include: Zeta Global, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Wufoo, Litmus, CloudFlare, all which comply with the recent GDPR regulations. We only share information with them within our contractual rights and they do not process any personal information.

From time to time we may also track information, in aggregate, on pages and features that users access or view. The activity is collected and stored in our server’s log files. We may log Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, or the location of your computer on the Internet required for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes.

  2. For functionality. These cookies and similar technologies remember choices you make such as language or search parameters. We use these cookies to provide you with an experience more appropriate with your selections and to make our site more tailored.
  3. For performance and analytics. These cookies and similar technologies, like Google Analytics, collect information on how users interact with our site and help us make performance improvements. They are only collected on the aggregate.

How to disable cookies:

To opt-out of our use of cookies, you can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all aspects of our Products. We and our third-party partners also collect information using web beacons (also known as “tracking pixels”).

What we do with the data we collect

Our email policies are fully compliant with the Can-Spam Act of 2003 and the GDPR regulations of May 25, 2018.

Newsletter recipients may, from time to time, receive commercial emails (advertisements) from us, and may “opt out” to avoid receiving these in the future.

By registering for our webinars, you agree to receive occasional emails about Advisor Perspectives events and may “opt out” to avoid receiving these in the future.

To cater your experience: The information we collect primarily is to cater your reading experience. We want to deliver the newsletters you subscribe to and are interested to in a timely manner. We recommend content on the site based on some of your previous interests in topics and authors.

Disclosing information to third party(s): Advisor Perspectives may share non-personally identifiable information, such as aggregated user statistics, with third parties. In some cases, such as for dedicated emails, we will share your email address with its sponsor if you take an action (such as opening or clicking through to the dedicated email). If you do not wish for us to share this information, please contact us and request to no longer receive dedicated emails or similar correspondence. For webinars, we collect personal information on the registration page. We will indicate on that page if that information is shared with the sponsor of the webinar (usually it is). If you do not want us to share that information, do not register for the webinar. Other than your email address, we will not share any personal information you provide to us with any third party unless you give us permission to do so. We work with third-party services, such as Discovery Data, who provide information from their databases to other third parties, based on your email address. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of third party(s) and, therefore, you should review the privacy policies and practices of such third party(s) prior to agreeing to receive such information from third party(s). If you later decide that you no longer want to receive communication from a third party, you will need to contact that third party directly.

Advertising, Audience and Traffic Measurement

We use DoubleClick for advertisers as our AdServer and run only directly sold ads. This means that no third party advertisements will be sold and therefore targeted to you. All advertisements are directly sold unless otherwise disclosed in this privacy policy. The website also uses Google Analytics to improve site performance and optimize site design and content by collecting traffic information on our users in the aggregate. Advertisers may use their own cookies to track the performance of their creatives.

Users right to their information

We fully comply with the GDPR regulation for “User Access Requests.” This allows a user at anytime to inquire about what information we collect and use about them. Upon request we will supply and reply to the user within 30 days answering the information we use about them.

If at anytime a user wants to unsubscribe or change their personal profile, they may do so by contacting us or the email preference center.

Consumers can have this information corrected by sending us email at the above address.

Changes to these policies

From time to time, we may change this privacy policy for specific reasons or compliance updates. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website and notify you of these changes. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically. We encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you use or interact with Advisor Perspectives to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.
